I have to admit I was not the biggest fan of Amsterdam when I visited. It was my first trip to Europe after arriving in the UK and I had high hopes. The group I traveled with had booked a horrible hostel, a friend and I were followed and harassed by a drunk man and I found the red light district sad and disturbing. I’m sure others may have an opposite opinion of the last thing, but this blog is not for cultural or political opinions. Despite the negative, Amsterdam is a very pretty city and there were many things I enjoyed. Without further adieu, I give you my top three.
Rijksmuseum
Anne Frank House – so inspiring and moving!
Bridges, bikes and canals – oh my!
